i was driving home to pick up lady, then head off for the weekend when there was a bang from the engine bay and then the red light on the dash came on to indicate battery/alternator fault. I smiled and said (to myself) that will be the fan belt, no problem. When i looked, the pulley on the end of the alternator had broken and only half of it was left. Please tell me i can buy a replacement pulley, and i dont have to buy a whole new alternator ?? (or just tell me the rotten hard unadulterated truth )
