Been searching and found a few threads on putting air bags in commers but can’t find any real info on this. Anyone got pics of a completed install or project?
The rear looks easy enough, just after some advice on the front.
Very keen to drop mine to the ground, about to fire up the grinder.... (sorry to any purist ☹️)
 
Researched this and yes possible and there is one in the UK that came from NZ. Have to be careful as my research seemed to show that cheap conversions don’t give a good ride at all, just look good slammed. Maybe the owner of the NZ one can chip in around ride quality - he doesn’t own it anymore so could give an honest opinion
 
Front is hard to do on the cheap. I got as far as buying a pair of land rover discovery front struts from a scrappy For £20. Looks like by making up some sleeves and swapping in some shorter shocks that it would be possible to fit these into the commer sub frame. Would either need to remove the ally shielding from the air bags or make the holes in the subframe bigger.

you can have them if you are ever passing Hampshire...
 
My main problem is the xmember sits lower then the side of the van. So to get it on the ground it’s a major surgery. By what iv found, not a common thing. I have a plan just need to save some coin to buy the bag setup
