Advice on Carb, Exhaust & Grills.

Can anyone offer some advice/recommendations on carburettors and exhausts please for the 1725cc?

Also how should the small grill above the Commer badge on the front attach to the body? Mine was fitted with screws and when I unscrewed today the hole was much larger than the thread. I'm assuming there should be some kind of backing plate but how do I get in there?

The small grill on mine had 2 threads with nuts inside the body to tighten it up????

you will have to get to the back of the front panel inside the cab behind the heater box, as they are normally held on with bolts.;)

depends how adventurous you want to be? Speedys do a weber conversion kit for £140. I have a webber on Smurf and it makes SO much difference. re exhaust quite a few peeps have adapted an RC40 to fit. I have just fitted a similar bigger bore exhaust...I have written up about this in Readers rides (Smurf) Other variants can be found by looking up in Panky's 'back of garage' thread:D

Yes, if I can do it anyone can:) It's straight forward and if you get stuck just shout, if you post pics it makes it even easier for others to help you:D
