A really sad day.......

I'm all ready to have another adventure in my Commer tonight(maybe my last:(), the beers chilling and in just about to set off.:)
 
People seem to want mint nowadays or aren't prepared to pay a great deal for them (unless it's a 911!). I'll be putting my pickup on Ebay soon to see what happens there.

That's hits the nail on the head regarding the guy :mad:who came out to purchase my commer a few weeks ago..........:rolleyes:
 
I'm not sure at the moment John, to be honest i feel so deflated. Two people came to view yesterday(which included two test runs),on top of that I had endless enquries. For me it's the fact that I know how much energy and love I've put into my van and I'm saddened that Knowbody really wants to take it on. For the age of my van I still think it's worth what I was asking for it, below that then there's no point me selling it because of my next project. I can't really justify putting anymore money into it, unfortunately it's two small for us and my wife (she has tried so much to enjoy it) just doesn't feel confident when she's in it. For now it's up at my small holding, all I wanted was for someone to take over the reigns. I've never forgotten how I got the money to purchase my Commer in the first place, that's why is was so emotional for me to start the selling process. But I'm still open to offers, I just don't think it's going to happen.
 
Hi Andrew, sorry to hear your van has not sold.... just to send a bit of positivity your way... I finally sold my old VW Caddy last week - I had over 100 watchers and lots of people emailing and texting with questions but no bids at all - this happen twice... I relisted it 3 times in the end and then all of a sudden a buyer came along and took it for a good price.... don't lose hope - there's a home out there somewhere for your lovely van - they're probably just on holiday! Alot of people like the idea of having a classic.. But I think when it comes to seeing one in the flesh and driving one a lot of people expect a bit to much, they expect them to drive like there company car, also a lot don't understand what is involved in the continual upkeep of a classic..
Your commer is a beauty and will 110% sell for what I think is a real good price.. If I didn't have an autosleeper I'd defiantly want to see it..
Just put it on again and it will sell to the right person, and that's what it needs :)
