Seem to be a few Commers coming out of the woodwork down here lately. Always wondered how they fit the 6 cylinder Holden red motors into a Commer.

Is it just me or can anyone else hear the theme music to "The Beverly Hillbillys" in their head?

That 161 holden six looks an ideal period engine for the commer[8D]

Reverse-flow pushrod, like the rootes, but with two extra cylinders and 108 bhp in low compression, 114 bhp in high:p

I still havent seen a PA/PB in Perth.. That red engine needs junking(for the sake of the enviroment).It needs an RB30 unit from a Commodore VL instead.Then we have the option of forced induction at a later date when the brakes are uprated... [^]
 
If you were going to that effort I'd go the whole hog and fit an RB26DETT from a Skyline GTR.

Mind you, I think you would have to paint in QANTAS colours, as it would have trouble staying on the ground!

Oh the wish of having enough money and time to do something really silly! :D
