A happy Jog owner!

I'm in Commer heaven! Absolutely love my new van Jog. Got it back to Brighton smoothly cruising(?!?) at 55, the steep hills to Brighton took that down to 40 and to my surprise I actually overtook someone!! It wasn't quite a level playing field as the guy was well and truly distracted on the phone, but you snooze you lose! :D It still counts!

Just been inside the back of the van writing a to do list, making measurements to get Jog some new clothes. Going to upholstering all the seat in the back, laying down some new floor vinyl - probably black and white chessboard and some new headline, followed by a lick of paint inside and sorting out the rotten wood by the piano hinges. I can tell this is going to be the beginning of lots of tinkering to come![8D] I have also spent hours going through this amazing forum getting to know the Commer's ins and outs a bit better. Hats off to Admin and all the great enthusiasts that contribute!!

I'm very excited and love driving Jog around Brighton especially the reward of putting smiles on people's faces. I'm a photographer so expect plenty of pictures to come :)

Good show [8D]
Expect many hours of tinkering ahead ;):D

I am glad to hear the curtains aren't on the list of things to be replaced, my sister wouldn't be impressed as they were made less than a year ago. The side windows have channels for some curtain wire so they are help in place against the window - but I never got around to installing it, and I don't know if Issac put them on. I have some more bits of material - some sheets and pillow cases which match the curtains, if you're interested. If not, keep you eyes open for on ebay in "retro st michael". Stuff comes up all the time.

The original material on the seats in excellent condition, once you take off those horrible covers.

Glad you like jog, it was a wrench to sell him at the beginning of the year.

Cheers

Glad you are enjoying him Rene! some new vinyl and upholstery will definitely make it a fresher ride!

@Andy, I didn't know about the curtain wire! that would have avoided many early mornings with the sun slapping my face...

I thought I told you, Issak. I am sure I left the bag with the wire in the van. Never mind, I suffered the same!
