I went to view this van a few months ago.....its not good.
the seller wanted £2500 for it and it is full of filler, theres plenty of rotton timbers to keep you busy and the cabinets are all poor.:(

Bloody Commer`s!

Thanks Alan, now if anyone is thinking of bidding they know what to expect.

I did`nt bother starting the engine so I have no idea what its like mechanically but the body and coachbuilt was enough to put me off, oh yes and it was pretty rotten underneath as well, the rear outriggers and sills are shot. The seller also assured me that Commer doors are not fluted at the bottom they are all flat sheet metal or filler....so at least I learned something on the wasted trip :D

Bloody Commer`s!

Back up again!

Mmmmm.. Withdrawn, re listed and already and has a bid, starting to sound a bit strange...
. Thanks for advise above, not the jem it sounds in advert now!

Its certainly not a gem!
It could be a good project for some one and it could be used as is and restored/saved as you go along, it will need lots and lots of work but if its cheap enough to buy in the start, say £500, then its worth a punt. But I would take the sellers description with a pinch of salt, unless all the welding has been done it is not solid underneath, far from it!

Bloody Commer`s!

Awful listing! Massive text just makes me ignore it. Just one pic as well.

Have read this thread with interest,as was considering a bid.
Looking for something half decent and prepared to pay for it.

It finished on £2550.00!
I hope the welding was done or else someone is going to be sorry when it has to be Mot`d in a few weeks :(

Bloody Commer`s!

This has now been relisted. The chassis is no longer 'solid as a rock', but requiring '2 outer riggers part of o/s inner sill'

LOL :)

I wonder why some people use font size 40 to write their ads. It definitely puts me off having to scroll down every five lines.
