hi renaultvation:)
in australia the tapes are coded 1 to 10 days according to the tack
if you use hi tack it must be removed within 34 hours or you will have hells own job getting it off
green gives me 5 days to remove it different Tack different colours
Im surprised its not the same in england

regards

Will

its not the same here will because we do not have any sun to bake it on ;)

"you were only supposed to blow the bloody doors off no.3"

We generally have standard brown tape which has the same limitations as your hi tack tape. We do get low tack tape for decorating on delicate surfaces (also brown), but it is useless. I have yet to find a tape that masks effectively that can be left for more than a couple of days without needing a solvent to remove the residue [V]

Your system sounds a lot better. Looks like there might be an opening in the market over here. :p

The world is my spray booth :) I guess constant sunshine has its benefits:D

'Harvey the RV'

This green colour is not a good tack it lets go to quick
sometimes you are better off just sticking with the plain brown tape
ripping it off after you spray the job and taking an extra half hour to re tape it
standard tape is around $3.00 dollars green tape is $8.00 dollars
I found with this the tape was letting go to quick and curling up
so I guess with progress it all sounds good but now I am Going to have to retape about 50% of it any way

Will

Hi All

Cool pics:) If you look at the 1st couple of pics you will see that this van was converted at Bluebirds in Parkstone Dorset!

Thats Parkstone in Poole Dorset! Interesting for me! I live a 10 min walk from Bluebirds who are very much still in business

Hi folks, Nick here, talking masking tape B & Q do a blue tape that i use quite a lot and I've not had any problems with on lots of different surfaces.

wonder if Bluebirds will be interested in seeing this - and maybe OKU might find a safe home as a piece of Bluebird history? autosleepers have taken the lead on that idea[8D];)

Bessie - four star commerdation

And there are more Bluebirds about.. ;)

If our tapes were coded it would be -1 to -10 according to how much rain was forcast for the day :D:D Then -11 to -20 according to how much frost was on its way!!;);):D:D LOL!!!

Has anybody heard from Will and how he is getting on with his old beauty? I would love to hear the continuation of this restoration story - and pictures :p

I speak to will quite often. He has just moved house and been without internet for a while. Unfortunately house refurbishments are coming very high on his list, but I'm sure he'll be back in the near future :)

Oh, don't mention house refurbishment, Martin... That's exactly where my time and money goes - and has done for the last two years. Never ending story! [V]

Good to hear that Will is ok. Many thanks for the update, M.

Jostein :)
