Check this out. Got talking with my neighbour the other week and found out that he is classic car/bike mad. He loves Commer's obviously:D being that he too loves all things British. Nut and crux of it is, i mentioned that i have a few bodywork gremlins to sort out to which he asked what? 'I'm needing to try and fabricate some flute repairs to get her nice and straight before painting' Oh yeah, show me:) anyway, he takes one look at the dodgy valance and door bottoms and then mentions he has worked with metal all his life(He's about 60 ish)
He never even measured the flute depth or anything, just by sight. :O he went to work next morning and by noon i had this waiting for me when i got home from work!

It's one big length of a continuous fluted strip which will be super dee duper for my repairs;)
Anymore metalwork just ask he says(When i'm now pretty much all finished, typical)
Anyway, i'm dead gratefull all the same;)

Cheers again all. Things are moving forward but still too slowly HAHA. I cannot wait to progress to the next stages to be honest, i'm bored with seeing the same old thing sitting on me driveway now. Got my sisters Vee Dub over for some surgery for the next few day's starting tomorrow noon so that has also stopped play on my van. Oh well, onwards and upwards:)

Not much of an update just yet, although lots to follow soon. Just wanted to share Pia's new candles;) Can't wait to see what these look like all fitted and switched on.

Vee Dubs rot too:D this is my sisters bus that initially came over for a VERY small piece of welding on the front panel. Just as she was about to leave i thought i'd have a looky underneath to see how a solid van looks like.....Yeah right:O as i dug about this happened!!!

But as i got cracking, Pia's workload stood me in good stead as metal flew in quckly. Well, not that quickly:) but quicker than Pia's did any road!

Some hours later she wanted the original underseal putting over it which was fine by me(Hides any uglies) it's solid and i'm happy with it even if it is a Vee Dub:D

Don't worry, i have given her a prep talk about how her whole van will look like this now that the tin worm has got in:p told her to get shot and invest in something more suitable....Wonder what that might be;)
