Hi all, thanks for the concern about the eye an all, luckily i'm now fine and never needed the hospital in the end, just a whopping sore eye for a few days was the worst it got, that was enough though not trying to discredit metal in an eye:D Back to the grindstone this weekend if the weather plays ball?

Well done Scott and Bex on all the work done on Pia, looking a lot different nowadays. Great job! :)[^][8D]

Hi all, more progress on the van today;) it feels like i'm starting to narrow down the jobs now although today was a bit of a bummer. I had to pretty much unstitch the back left hand corner as the new cill was no way fitting on:( when i made the new floor piece last year i'd welded it on leaving no recess for the cill to fit properly, so i had to cut it all out again and refit. Such is life, you certainly live and learn eh:)
Anyway, i never took any pics as it's work i've already uploaded before.
After that lot i found time to find some more rot lurking from one of the back door bottoms........

That's more like it;)

I also sanded down all the interior cupboards etc and coated them in Danish oil, this stuff is great. They bring all that tired furniture up like new, will photograph that tomorrow.

And that's about it for today;)..........................................Oh, ....that back corner:p

Hi all. Thanks to the advice of Paul Oliver telling me to man up and get stuck in - I did do. Took bleeding ages mind you to get the correct curvature. It's a little patch-worky still but i shall skim a glob of filler over it to smooth it off nicely. Just got the other side to do now so happy days;)

'I intend to live forever - so far, so good'

Hi all.

Been ages since i last posted in here i know. Although i check in most days and lurk the reason being is that i started a new job early January and it's been taking all my spare time up. Having been self employed for so long things needed to fall into place again(Having to be somewhere at set times)
Work on Pia halted for the winter as i only have a very small amount of welding before it's M.O.T time and i couldn't be arsed with getting under the van in the freezing cold;)
Every weekend i look at her sitting there, and every weekend i make excuses to do something else...........UNTIL NOW!!!
Work resumes on her this coming weekend;) i plan to finish the welding off and generally just making good. I may get time to finish off some of the worktops that i was remaking, we'll see. In any case, the bug has bitten me again now that the worst weather is coming to a close. Watch this space i guess :D

Now whilst i was pretty happy with my work on the front Valance a few months back. Since Martin M's new panel making equipment and great price i decided to bite my budget bullet and purchase one. I must say, i'm very impressed with 1, Martin's lightning postage(I along with others will vouch for this......PLEASE NEVER CHANGE THAT MARTIN;)) and 2, the quality of the panel itself. So much so, i've needed to upload a pic of said panel. Cannot wait to weld this on this week.
Hopefully not much longer for the old girl's M.O.T now;)
