'Lucy' Lemon

For those of you that couldn't make the New Forest. 'Lucy', is the Ebor conversion, found 2 miles away from me.
She was in very good condition, just requiring a bit of attention to the bottom of the doors and a quick tidy up [:)]
Well, the quick tidy up turned into 5 weeks of hard graft :I The doors were stripped, repaired and painted. Full bottom half re-spray in Jaguar Primrose yellow. All interior worktops replaced. Karen stipped the cream emulsion paint off the cupoards, made new curtains and re-covered the rear seating.
There was a fold down bed in the front, but this was so uncomfortable, we replaced it with 'deluxe' seats and a mid table.
The spare wheel was taken from underneath and mounted on the rear, complete with 'Artwork by karen'.
Bumpers removed and re-chromed.
Mechanically, she was fitted with electronic dizzy and Webber carb.
The side awning came with the van and made all the difference, as we were able to sit out of the cold, till late.

Jobs for the winter include, replace coolbox with fridge, renew all cupboards, fit a free-flow exhaust and overdrive (if I can find one).

Well done Martin and Karen. the van is a credit to you both, well worth the eforts and late nights that you have both put into her. "Lucy" is a very suitable name for her, keep up the good work :D

Egor the Ebor would have been good [}:)] but she's a bit too pretty for that - maybe Esmerelder would have been more fitting :I

I bumped into someone with a.... um not sure but has roots 1725 & should have a holbay only 5 miles from me,it's the one the only made 900 of without a vinyl roof ????
so be quick or it will probably be gone! ;)

hi martin just found this thread. struggling with time to get on the forum lately so playing catch up. lucy looks lovely real credit to you both - doesn't look like the same van can't wait to see her for real

Hi Jules, good to hear from you again. You wouldn't belive the hours we put in, after you first saw it :I I will try to get some pics at the weekend, busy being a film star this week ;)
 
hey mart seeing as ive got a bad back how about putting me a picture up on here of those nice carpets we put in your van at the new forest meet , so everyone else can see how good they are. until admin has time to put a proper picture up on my web page for me ,as hes really busy at the mo:p;). cheers matey.:p;)

I like these eyelids so much I am going to start selling them.
Haven't decided whether to stock the chrome or stainless versions yet. Anyone any experience of the durability of the chrome on the chrome ones?

I used to have some chrome ones on my minor and sold them before I got Jessica - they were fine, but they scratched quite easily. No problem with rust.
Someone on the morris minor owners club did and experiment and decided they too 2mph off the top speed of his van!
