If you're thinking of wheel centre badges they make proper ones with a raised dome shaped clear resin finish. I got some for Madge a couple of years ago.

Cool - would be interested in custom wheel centres - I was going to go with transformers logo [:}]

I saw the Transformers logo and was almost tempted!!

I can get them made up, I just need some basic info. Does anyone know what Font the C is on the Horn Push?

Also, as you can see from the photo, this one is pretty damaged. Is the background colour Red or is it more Claret?

One last thing, the C looks silver in this, is that the case or was it gold!?

Looking at mine, photos to follow, the red is a 'blood' red and both the 'C' and the outside 'ring' are gold.

To clarify, the gold looks to be 'plated' over a silver insert.

I have a 'spare' badge which has no colour left and the metal 'C' insert missing. My intention is to clean it up and infill the recesses with gold paint then paint the backing in 'blood red'.

While I'm waiting for the close-ups to upload to photobucket here's an earlier shot which my give an idea of the red.

Ah, thank you. The outter ring on this one is silver - but assumed it would be gold if the C was. Thats a big help - thank you!!

Brilliant, would you mind if i nabbed your photo and sent it to the guy at clasic capsules as a reference?

Depending on how good they come out, it might be worth asking him about making up some Horn Push sized ones too, depending on how many were in need. Thankfully we got one of Commerjules a while back to replace the damaged one!

i have 2 and both have silver 'C' and outer ring
I repainted one of mine with 'chrome' plasti-coat and painted the background in 'smurf' blue

both of mine the 'clear' lens bit is quite scratched, so i might be interested Jon:)

Enigma (Colin?): On mine the gold 'plating' has started to fade away revealing the silver base, maybe that's what happened to yours leaving it looking silver?

Quite possibly Bazz, i only ever noticed silver ones before but I'd imagine gold looks cool
