"X-BOX" THE SPACEVAN

Well started on "X=Box's" brakes today but not good:( All the brake pipes are no good on the front so removed them! Driver's side hub was a b***h to get off took half an hour. The adjuster is no good so need a replacement.

Good news is the rear brake pipe are all good:) but need new cylinder all round.

replacing the brake pipes isn't too bad, I have just replaced the lot on Smurf, getting good at making the ends is a bugger but a good tip is to use plenty of copper grease to help them form. I used Kunifer for mine, they seem to do the trick well.

Martin Maltas does new handbrake cables. He gets them re-manufactured but need the triangular casting that bolts to the body under the hand brake lever as this is the only unavailable part. Very good quality[^]
You should be able to get the adjuster working with lashings of WD40 and mole grips

Thanks guy's! Hopefully I will have new brake pipes sometime next week. I will be giving Martin a call as soon as I have the funds for all the bits I need.
 
Well guy's here are a few new pictures! Had some front new brake pipes made and been under the van cleaning all the crap off and giving "X-Box" a fresh coat of paint to make her last a lot longer!:D

Also a picture of my broken handbrake cable:( I was hoping to have her on the road by now but some parts are hard to find!!!

Yep! sure have got a load of good spares off it will put some more pictures up later. The van wasn't in that bad nick to be honest but she wouldn't fit in my garage:( so I went down with a mate I stripped her down there! Was a long day I was knacked when I got home but it was all worth it:)

Some bits I don't think I will need so will list them on here if I can help any members out.

Mark I want to ask you a question have you bought GYE 44W off Martin?

You lucky man! I would have love to have got my hands on that one mate! That's twice I've missed it now!:( We will have to meet up sometime!
