Probably a bit of crud in the carb, give it a good strip and clean out

Cheers guy's! Will have a look at it on Thursday. I was a bit p***ed off as she is now running and has brakes and even a handbrake
She fired up then I saw the petrol and switched her off quick[:0] Hopefully all that needs doing once the carb is sorted is the welding, outer sills and a bit of fine tuning and she will be on the road after 19 years!!!![^]

Well good news! Carb is sorted hopefully! Had her moving up and down the garage and she's got all gears All brakes work as well[^] She just takes a bit of stating up for some reason. Any ideas?
Also on turning the key to start her she fires up when I let the key go which can't be right? Have I got the wires the wrong way round?
Has anyone got a diagram of how they go?

Hi mate,
The starter seems fine! Maybe it need new plugs? Exhaust is blowing at the engine as I can't seem to get it to seal. When she does start she runs okay but has a bit of a flat spot when I rev the engine! If I can seal the exhaust I think that should help?

Things are going from bad to worse at the moment Mark. Sorted fuel pipe out and now the thermostat housing has got a leak! Looks like I need a new one! With my dad being in hospital as well am starting to get fed up with it

dont get like that mate will be well worth it in the end[8D] perhaps martin can help out with a good s/h housing unit[?] hope you dad is on the mend
