Its a bit of a funny one John. She was low on oil which wouldn't help but the temperature goes up just be low the Red all the pipes get hot but she doesn't boiler over and when you remove the Rad cap you can stick your finger in the water as it hot but not boiling so it seem the temperature gauge is reading wrong[?] I will try another gauge asap. She is just idling in the garage so am hoping it may go down when I give her a run!;)

It could be the thermostat isn't opening, the temperature sender sits just behind it so it would show a higher temp than down stream in the rad.

Been busy today cleaning and painting the pedals, pedal box cover, Gear box linkage rod, accelerator bar and gear lever that are going in to "Fred" hopefully next week!;)

temp same on mine,tried all the usual flushed rad etc,still no joy,took it to specialist even though i flushed rad and it seemed ok it wasnt.£150.00 for brass n copper re-core,its fine now,still it didnt do bad been in 40 yrs....

Thanks for that mate! I think the Rad will need replacing as the bottom hose doesn't seem to get as warm as the rest do!;)
