"Hi ho, hi ho, its off to Dozer's I go"

hi kes .. when the engine is running its useing the fuel !so no smell but when u turn it of whats left ..seeps out due to faulty pipes / gaskets or similar . gravitys a bugger
 
We've had lots of discusions on this one, unfortunately it is all too common to have petrol fumes around.

But any fuel leak must be investigated and sorted out as soon as you can.
 
ive spoken to dozer and he suggests i run the engine for 5 mins and see if there are any leaks anywhere.[V]
 
Good advice it will show any leaks from pipes and connections. When you stop the engine see if you can spot any drips coming out of the manifold drain under the carburettor(that's the bit of bent pipe shown in the topic I posted the shortcut for). It will take a couple of minutes for it to appear, if it does then it's not the end of the world it just might be a bit of dirt under the float valve :) Just don't make any toast for a while till the pong disappears ;)
 
Ive run the engine and watched and looked and sniffed and had a look underneath and looked hard again and sniffed again, but ill be buggered if i can see anything. [:(!] So i turned the engine off and waited and had a good sniff and couldnt smell any oil burning or petrol smell and still cant see any leaks or drips.[xx(]:)[:(!]:)

is this not a good thing that you've stop dribbling :) . did you wait 4 a few Min's ?? or the usual female 30 second = 5mins :D god I'm gonna pay for that sorry girls :D:D
 
usually its the guys who do the 30 second bit [:0][:0] (Just to get revenge). Did wait for 5 mins then turned it off.:D
