Gladys Crew yes. I spotted it on thew A1 a few months back and took a pic as i drove by;-) what always strikes me with campers is that there are so many with either sunshine orange or yellow curtains etc? Must be a brit thing?

Hi Scott, nice to have you back, I think you captured Mildred not Gladys Crew

Ok we were caught out, it was us at York even with the false number plates on we were still recognised. But seriously it was a great show even had a small auto jumble where I picked up a brand new & boxed track rod end for 2 quid a bargain I think. And to meet two other Commers was the icing on the cake.
Unfortunatly my back step is made of wood on a wooden support, the step has split down the middle, so I carry a set of caravan steps with me until I get round to getting it fixed with a metal step that you can use
You should get the original step fitted, the sliding metal step.
My sliding rails are quite rusty, but the step arrangement is solid enough and a sensible design, if a little primitive :I Should be far better and durable than the arrangement you are describing on yours, Moley.
Hi Jostien, thanks for the picture, my step still has the same rail as yours, but I think it must have been altered as it doesn't slide. Can you show me any pictures from the underneath of your step so I can see how it should be

Why don't you send me an email on [email protected] and I'll forward the pictures I've got. Haven't got that many, and my Bluebird is currently at Martin's.. :I - so in other words far from me (as I'm at home in Oslo).
