3.9 kg red gas bottle.

Don't know if this is any help, just the other side of Brum:

It compares with £15.49 for a refill from Calor Gas and a £30 deposit for the bottle. Your nearest stockist is Webbs of Wychbold.

If you have any sort of Calor bottle to start with, you can swap it for a different type when you go for a refill.

Hi Andrew, if you struggle I think I have one or two from when we had Fonty. I've been meaning to get rid. I'm the other side of Leicester but could maybe get it towards Cov way (assuming your near Wychbold!) if that helps?

Those outdoor heaters take the same gas. And they are often being thrown away

That's not a bad idea. I once bought a portable gas heater for the workshop for a fiver and it came complete with a gas bottle.

Thanks jon, i am after propane as that is the regulater i have in my commer. Thanks for uploading the picture.

You can always change the regulator, they're only a few quid:) I've run Harveys stove on both, Propane when I could get it cheap and Camping Gaz (Propane/Butane mix) when the staff discount on Propane was scrapped[V]

i did'nt know you had to pay a deposit on the bottle-i'll keep my 13kg bottle then as a guy i knew gave it to me as he worked for a gas company.:D 'I intend to live forever - so far, so good'

Calor Gas is distributed by BOC and they charge rental on cylinders, not sure if they do on Calor cylinders but you might end up paying an annual fee just for the privalage of having it[V]
