2.5L Cummins diesel?

Has anyone heard of a Cummins engine being fitted in a commer.

My log book has my engine down as 2.5L heavy oil, and a different engine number than the perkins 4108 (1.8L)there are also signs of some blanked fuel pipes and redundant brackets in the engine bay that could have related to a different engine.

some wiki stuff suggests the commer may used cummins engines as well as perkins - but that may have been bigger trucks.

So - any ideas of what 2.5L diesel engine may once have been fitted in the Dog?

Being a coach built it probably uses the 2500 chassis which refers to carrying capacity rather than engine size, that could have confused things in the past.

Your pobably right, I always thought 2500 referred to the engine size - but just googled it and found it was capacity, I think I need to update the log book (it still says the Dog is blue and white)
