1st attempt!

Decided to have a go at making a rear corner panel [:0] Started by making the top half, rolling, fluting and folding. Didn't get the flutes quite parralel [V] Then made the bottom half separate, rolling, wheeling, shrinking, folding- you name it, it had it [}:)]
Then welded the two half together.
Didn't turn out too bad for a 1st attempt, refections make it look destorted, but it is quite smooth.

Very good[8D], you chose a difficult one to start with so the rest should be easy [}:)]

It's a bit like people who climb mountains- something to be conquered, next time I'll do it quicker and better [}:)]

how long did it take? To be honest if some non-perfect (or fibreglass) ones keep a van on the road then its well worth doing.

Must be really good fun having all the tools available to you. Do you have much experience with those machines. Don't tell me you just started?!?

not bad at all mart, but be honest they are not as easy as they look are they.thats why they cost quite alot to make,time consuming.;):p

anyway i thought you said on the phone the other day that you were making them in fibre glass. thats a funny kind of fibre. looks like ive got competition on my hands from now on.[B)]
 
Just playing Woolfy, as you say, they are very time consuming. If I charged for the time it took me, they would be twice the price of yours :I

Rupert, I know you won't belive me, but I only picked up the wheeling machine a couple of weeks ago and I bought the Shrinker/stretcher for my Chrissie present ;)
 
thats alright for a first attempt, it takes a while to get the knack of those sort of tools :). and yes it is zero profit if you factor in your time [xx(]
