1983 Dodge Commer

Nice to see another Dodge on here, we don't feel so lonely now :D

Thank you Panky for the Pics, took you a while today [}:)]:)[}:)]

Cazz... student commerade!!!!

I had to sort woolfy out then re-size Alyn's pics - and inbetween time sort out the wasps nest in the chimney, finnish the loft extension and save a sinking ocean liner. OK so the wasps nest was a lie :I

sorry panky mate i will leave you alone for a month or so now as i think you have all seen enough of my pics by now.;)

I'm not a fan of the plastic grin but it is part of our vans history and it would be a shame to loose them all:I. I like the grin-less look but I recon it would look even better with a couple or three simple chrome bars across it - like a PA [8D]

What you do to your van all comes down to personal preference. Like Panky, I am not a fan of the plastic grill and remember when it was introduced I thought it was a bit of a desparate attempt to modernise the van. However, I do like the treatment to the front of Smurf which returns some of the original Commer character, but is fully reversible if desired. Using the original bumper mountings for auxilary lights was a stroke of genius.

I notice that your van doesn't have a hole for a starting handle, but Smurf does.

It looks like you have a very nice van there and I hope to see it out and about on the streets of Suffolk. If you see an idiot in an old blue Fiat waving madly at you, chances are it will be me! :D

Thank you!!! We like it too...Its always good when someone makes a comment like that about your van, makes you feel proud :D

It is def down to personal preference, and i think your van will look great... I like the sounds of the chrome strips too

Drilling the holes in the right place to fit the Commer letters is 'interesting' lol

A smiley grill is near on impossible to locate one! Panky had an idea of using a Mini grill, but you would have to drill out the slats and pop rivet them back in upside down or you will have a 'sulky' grill lol

we want to do either that or the 3 strips and can't decide[?]
