1970 PB Autosleeper

I had one old guy insist that they were made on the same production line, no amount of persuasion would change his mind:rolleyes:

Nice one Andrew, glad it went finally. Not sure on size you're looking for but can't go wrong looking at the 2.8 Hilux long wheel bases. Bit thirsty but fairly bullet proof I hear.

Thanks Jim, I'm looking at a couple of things next. The first one will definatly be a much more modern van, something my wife will feel more comfortable in. Then I fancy another project, so watch this space.

Did you find it tiresome on long Journey's curious as thinking about getting a commer. I have old cars and know that they are not long legged like modern stuff. So journey's become epic events. Which is okay as long as you do not need to do long mileage.

Can I ask you is the underneath of Mellow yellow solid? I know you said it had some welding but is it pretty good under the body?
Thanks for a reply .

I can't really say. When we bought her five years ago MOT said rust but didn't effect the chassis.

We got her spot welds replaced with seam welds. Then she was painted with some kind of sealer so can't really see if there's a problem.
