1967 Commer Wanderer for Sale

I am selling my van, somewhat reluctantly, but my plans for the year have changed and unfortunately the Commer doesn't fit in to them anymore and I am losing my storage for him. So, it's now someone's opportunity to get their hands on a really nice original commer.

I bought JOG last year and paid £4000 for him. Since then I have rebuilt the brakes (which were downright dangerous), replaced the distributor and coil with new electronic items, sorted out the fuel leak, replaced the door mirrors with some correct period mirrors and replaced the curtains in the cabin with some period curtains.

If anyone is interested, please get in touch. I am looking for a figure around what I paid for him, but I am open to offers. The van is by no means perfect, but you will be able to drive it away and use it straight away. It is mechanically sound, and the bodywork, although needing attention in a couple of areas, is very solid for an unmolested van of this age (no welding done on it yet). Also included is a van cover.

It will be a year or so before I start looking again, but I will be back in a commer at some time. I did try to persuade Martin to swap the steering from this van, but he wasn't having it!

Jog now has a new custodian, and I know he is going to be well look after, even if he does end up in the Canary Islands. Hopefully the new owner will be introducing himself on here sometime soon, a que si?

Hahah gracias Andy. Yes, I'm the happy new owner! I'm sure the Canary Islands would be a great retirement destination for the van, but for now I'll make sure that rain stays away from it as much as possible!
