Love it, same as mine but without the side door. Great to see so many popping up lately. Those stone protectors serve a purpose, but ruin the look of any vehicle. Having a only a toughned glass windscreen was always a problem when you lived in the bush. New laminated windscreens for Commers would have been very expensive option if you could find one in those days.
Just thinking about it, back then there was always a sign nailed to a tree or painted on some corragated iron in a padock as you approached any country town advertising replacement windscreens.
When I had my Range Rover in the 80's and was spending most of my time working in country NSW and Qld, I was lucky having a laminated windscreen. I eventually had to replace it when it was failed for rego due to the 17 stone chips and stars I had collected in the 5 years i'd been travelling in the bush. Was and still is an everyday fact of life if you live outside the major cities down here.
