I've got a little conundrum :I, I'm fitting a small consumer unit to my van and I want to run 4, 8 watt flurescent lamps from it ( the original Lab craft light fittings), I thought the best way to do it would be to fit a transformer rectifier, (or even a small battery charger!) what amp rating should it be? can anyone help [?]
 
All the ones fitted to modern motorhomes have a 20 amp rated charger and thats the best way to go as is easier on the battery when running on mains plug in. there, that should help.;):D
 
Hello "zig electronics" do a good range as do "sargeant electronics" although you cant use an ordinary house hold battery charger as they work differently to one designed to run stuff ie lights on a long term basis. I have just spoken to my service centre and they do a model for £100 + vat 01684 292255 speak to Kirsty. again hope this helps.
