Just had a look at site... probably a stupid question, but are these for petrol engines only? Isn't an air intake and air intake? Currently using one off an Iveco, which is much improved from the oil bath type filter previously fitted, but always on the look out to improve power.

Can anyone point me in the right direction for getting one of these to fit on a Perkins 4.236 diesel? Output is 82bhp gross, 75bhp nett.. so I guess the one previously mentioned would do the job if it'll fit - or would it be better to go for one witha higher rating?

I'm always bigging up Powertrack - have mentioned them previously on here. Been very helpful over the years keeping my van on the road - maybe not necessarily the cheapest, but 1st class service!

I'm pretty sure I sold this to filmpropman via ebay - would've been about 2/3 years ago... bought it ebay myself to either do up or use for spares, but on seeing it put it straight back on ebay - decided having one project was quite enough. if it is that one, i'm impressed they got it to run...

well sorted! took me a year and a half to solve the "problem" of a blocked filter... must've saved a hell of a lot of fuel in that time (just didn't go very fast)!

only really know about diesels, but the chugging does make me think you've got a lack of fuel getting to the engine - had the same thing with my (diesel) engine, finally traced to an extra filter I'd added that'd got blocked, restricting the flow of fuel.

only thing with using gas is the water that's created, causing lots of condensation. at least with a wood burner, diesel water heater or a blown air heater you're using relatively dry air.

i've only recently come across these cherry bombs - what engine size can they cope with? I'd be tempted to fit a stainless one when the current box packs up, especially since the exhaust pipe is stainless tubing anyway.
