Commer EX BT Minibus BREAKING 4 SPARES

Ok thanks Luke - are you stripping it or is it a case of come and take the parts off? Just I’m miles away but do travel that way sometimes to see family. Point is it’s could be 4 weeks away and assuming you want the van gone. Ta

Commer EX BT Minibus BREAKING 4 SPARES

Hi Luke - is there a good steering box? Any play in it? Also quarter lights - don’t need rubbers (or glass) just a decent frame bottom really and the ones I have are rotted Ta

    Back of the garage

Love job that Panky! Does it works well? I used to have one but the pipe connector into the servo popped off and got dragged down the road and damaged it. Couldn’t find a replacement so it’s just idle now

Ah I do now remember about a bridging wire which made it very straight forwards. Can see the plug on the top photo

I went for a nice quiet custom exhaust from Tony Banks in my early 40’s :) Did go loud for a year or two with one of martins but reverted back to piece and quiet. The cabs so insulated now you can have a normal conversation on the motorway!

:D insanely quiet - on the driveway at least, I was expecting some loud induction noise but nothing. Hit my 50’s now so that’s all good

Always feels like a little struggle for air in higher revs underload , after various configurations I’m putting it down to the small air box. Invested in a Med Engineering hiff44 stub stack kit which gets rave reviews. Fitted like a glove - test run tomorrow!

    New Starter motor

Same - I still come off the old remote solenoid, been a long time since I did it but think it just made it easier to wire.

I have the WOSP and it works very well but is a tight fit - they’re adjustable and you need to have the cable connection in an awkward location but once it’s on it’s good. Keep the jet washer away from them though as I found out! Got mine from the Autoelectric supplies and were very good. Even...

She’s alive!!! The setup appears to work well but still needs a road test. Love the ‘run on’ function. Can’t seem to post the video unfortunately. https://www.facebook.com/share/v/1EiqFmgsbF/?

    Out and About

Gutter! Our two cats have found a way into ours through the engine (lid is off atm). I find them in there all the time asleep. Luckily it’s not a toilet for them yet!

Yer I’ve got one that just goes on but won’t tighten even when the alternator is fully moved out. It pivots away from where the water pump pulley was - if I’d known id have left the pulley on but I’ll come up with something :)

    Out and About

Lovely - so looking forward to getting out this summer. Bit of a mare with the ewp conversion in that now I’ve deleted the top pulley (from the mechanical water pump) the alternator adjustment doesn’t take any slack out of the fan belt cause of the pivot angle. Something I need to work out when...

For that price it’s defo worth testing it first for peace of mind and to stop you going down other rabbit holes. I was going to test mine a few years ago but didn’t need to as it was leaking gasses so bad it turned the coolant from blue to grey :D

    A rare thing Panky

A lovely thing. That one or the one they did up on Wheeler Dealers - probably a 50/50 it’s one or the other :)
