Well, that wasn't to hard - more fiddly then difficult! My tip tip is to have someone with thin arms and nimble fingers to undo the bolts on the tapper cover! All in pieces now, going to put back together tomorrow.

There's a trick I've seen that uses a hairdryer and a can of compressed air to ping dents out. I'll see if I can find the video.

Well, I had a quick search online and found Titanium epoxy sticks which are rated to 280 degc. Hopefully that will hold for a few months.....

Whats the best thing to do with the plate that sticks up into the exhaust, and is meant to heat up the intake faster? I recall its stupid and you should get rid of it, but do you simply cut of the bit that hangs into the exhaust, using the outside as a gasket?

Don't know if this is common knowledge or not, but I discovered it today, and it really helped! The candle trick is a way to get stuck bolts/nuts and studs out when they are rusted up. Basically heat the metal around the stuck item up and then touch it with the wax of a candle, which will melt...

OK! Well we're back from a lovely holiday, and just about to head to Halfords to buy a compression tester.... So what should this tell me? I assume if all cylinders are ok, then its not the HG, but otherwise it is likely to be. Any hints or tips guys? Thanks!
