Hi Jim, yes that should work ok! The only other wire that will need moving is the starter wire from the ignition/push button to the old solenoid, to the connector on the new solenoid. As far as i remember you shouldn't have to alter the alternator wiring. I only did mine because I wanted to...

Thanks to Martin and everyone for a great weekend, if slightly shorter than intended. Wonderful to catch with folk after the last difficult 18 months or so. Looking forward to seeing you all again next year when i hope to arrange another Essex meet. ;)

First time in all my years that i have been on a beach on Christmas day. Hope Barb and yourself are keeping well and safe and had an enjoyable Christmas. We had Christmas dinner today as we are now in tier4 and are not to travel any more. ;)

After a year of intermittent starting problems I bit the bullet and invested in a Hi-Torque starter motor from Jules at Ratsport and a new Bosch battery. After having to remove the manifolds to get the 12 year old starter off and a bit of a clean up in that area, then disposing of the 40?odd...
