Commer Karrier Help - New owner

I have a workshop manual, but I'd need to know the chassis no and wheelbase so I can tell if it's the right one. Probably something like ED31572AXXXX or ED34173AXXXX. A photo of the front would help too.

    Jennings

At the West Somerset Rally this weekend, (hot and dry!) I parked alongside this ERF truck.......... That's a coachbuilt cab by Jennings of Sandbach. So I had a good look around, and a long chat with the owner. He wants to do some research on the Jennings Company, so I invited him to turn...

    2700HP

Further to this, West Somerset Railway is diesel only until further notice due to trackside fire risk. Good job they have our diesel back up!

    Out and About

Used to be a decent sort of place, we used to go there a lot. Long ago though. Nice path from there up onto the moors.

LOL. "Heritage" railway isn't just for steamers. They need backup for when the steamers break down (At the Diesel and Electric Preservation Group we always have 2 Thunderbirds ready to go at a moment's notice). Many heritage railways are diesel only at the moment due to exceptionally high...

No, not a Commer. I've been volunteering at the local heritage railway, and we're restoring this............ It's got two 1350HP turbo diesel engines and will do 100MPH plus............ I've been welding the bodywork for best part of a year now. Well, after a Commer anything else is a...

    Gas Fridge not working

I've just pulled a fridge out of a Highwayman (guess which one!) and it wouldn't shift until I'd unscrewed the flue outlet and lifted it off the internal exhaust pipe. Then a few screws and random brackets under the grille at the bottom and I could slide the fridge out. The fridge in our van...

    Shock absorbers

Have a look at this thread https://forum.commervanfan.co.uk/threads/armstrong-lever-shockers-new-oil-seals.9082/ I have to admit it hasn't been 100% successful though. Still get the odd drip. I think there are people who will refurb them for you, but don't have any info on that.
