Armstrong lever shockers. New oil seals

Always good to see a detailed write up and some ingenuity too ! Top work - thank you

    The Snail

Makes sense to my own cider addled brain o_O I remember tuning my old cars using the ColorTune sparkplug to see the burn colour ! I've got the same Alpine exhaust manifold, where did you get your down pipe please ? I'm going to play with that and try options for custom inlet manifold to reduce...

    Seatbelt mounting points

Perusing the parts manual (which I often find more helpful than the workshop manual - due to its detailed diagrams), I can now see exactly how the seatbelts fixes to the single rear mounting point.

    Lucas 119SA multi-function stalk

From the workshop manuals I've noticed that later models, probably the Spacevans, have a multi-function indicator, main beam & horn column stalk. The part number is Lucas 119SA but that's generic and there's a further number to denote the specific application. I'm looking to modify my PB with...

    Seatbelt mounting points

Thanks Panky, I'm using Securon 500s seatbelts which have plenty of webbing, so I'll set the passenger belt like yours and see which I prefer

We've come a long, long way together

I thought the original badge was long lost but it turned up today whilst looking for something else ... ... but I then had some even better luck when asking the TorCars FB group about the font so I could have another sticker made up to fit to my NOS badge surround - their only remaining...

    COMMER DAY ROOTES ARCHIVE CENTRE

A shame we didn't, would've been great to meet up with everybody and having seen the videos on FB for that sweet Commer Avenger coach and TS3 sound ! Typical, no sign of the oil pressure warning today but still getting it checked out rather than risk a bigger bill later !

    Seatbelt mounting points

This is the other hole that I was referring to. I recall a domed nut on the outside but there is no captive nut on the inside, I'm struggling to remember what these were if not seatbelts ...

    COMMER DAY ROOTES ARCHIVE CENTRE

Gutted to miss this :( Oil pressure warning message last night on my Alfa 147, plenty of oil so hopefully just a sensor error (Alfa electrics!) rather than a pump failure. I didn't want to risk catastrophe on the long journey.

Two tone green coach built spotted

Well done on your maiden voyage and purchase, such a beautiful can you have there

    Commer longer now

Yes, I was thinking the same but I guess these days we're somewhat spoilt with the availability and quality of repro panels.

    Commer longer now

Sharing from the TorCars FB group - an unusual extended AutoSleeper ! The interior was partly recycled into my HiTor. "This is the Commer AutoSleeper, that I used for the interior, & side window for the HiTor. Note the extended body, for shower space, it had hot & cold water."

    Seatbelt mounting points

Thinking about it though, I think previously I might've only gone with 2 point retracting seat belts ... http://www.securon.co.uk/seatbelts_layouts.htm

    Seatbelt mounting points

You're a star as always, thanks Panky ! I'd forgotten about those captive nuts way back behind the seats, that's what I couldn't fathom out. Strangely I've got an extra bolt hole about halfway up each door frame which seems seat belt sized, not sure whether that's strong enough but it might work...

Thanks Panky, that'd be really appreciated for the 3 point mounting points

    Seatbelt mounting points

Previously I fitted Securon 3 point inertia sealtbelts to my Commer PB but they were removed many years ago. Apart from the 3 upper mounting holes on the door post I no longer recall how these were mounted, I've searched CVF but all the related posts are old and their images are lost. As there's...

Lower grill trim and surround clips

Thanks Panky, that's been very helpful  I've now used a 3mm drill bit in my fingers to open up my lost holes. I've offered up the grill and trim and all looks great. But I'm holding fire from fitting as I'm now going to paint the panel behind the grill in satin black, as having seen a pic...

Lower grill trim and surround clips

Continuing on the theme ... It appears that a couple of holes have been 'lost' during restoration, the two marked by red circles seem to be obvious but are there any others not highlighted by either black or red circles ? I'll need to open up these too, any ideas of the correct sizes ?

Lower grill trim and surround clips

Thanks so much Panky - those Bresco clips are for a Humber Hawk but I've now discovered are way too small. Those Rover P5 clips don't seem quite big enough, 14.8mm gap, as my gap measures just over 15mm. I've found some early Vauxhall clips but they've got an offset hole but I assume the Commer...
