I will start this summer with the disc set up ,mine are from a 1969 chevy Camaro ,vented discs and as far as I can tell they will work with using the chevy hubs on the commer spindles ,but i'm not sure if I will use the calipers from the chevy ,because they are old and stuck ....and replacement...

the guy I got my commer from has one like that ...but its slightly bigger ! and has two rear doors

when I have my commer I will start a thread with disc convertion .I will use the vented discs and everything form a 1979 chevy Camaro ,I have the parts laying around and the bolt patern is already correct the spindles are kind of similar ,so i'm pretty sure I can make it work with new bearings...

if you go diesel take the Daihatsu fourtrak engine from a rocky or a feroza ,fairly cheap en rather small ..and its a 2.8 diesel engine ...you do not need the turbo version ..because these take to much space I fitted a regular non turbo 2.8 rocky engine in my ford transit MK 1 and couldn't be...

taking the rover engine out and turn it into an ashtray ;) ,maybe it would be better to use it in the commer if you can find the space to put it in !
