Thanks guys. Long weekend so hopefully get a full day on the van this weekend after I fit some windows and a patio door at my parents.

So the sun came out and I thought.... A load of crap covered up, imperfect bodywork, unfinished filler, but it will be better off on the road and a work in progress rather than sitting on a drive waiting to be perfect. Hopefully you weather will continue and I can finish the van paint this week.

If anyone is wondering, the colour has been mixed by Rawlins paints (after reading some great reviews about the company / paint match they produce) and the colour is VW L31 Dove Blue. I have seen it painted on a factory painted van and it is identical.

I am pleased with the result so far. I don't have the facilities or funds to spray a finish so am opting for the rolling option. the last coat of paint I put on was a 4:1 ratio and I mixed too much for the door but it just kept rolling on no matter how much I put on. it has given me a great...

I finally got around to cutting the paint with wet and dry 600 grit and I will pick up some meguiars cutting compound tomorrow to see what the finish is like. For anyone not aware, I am painting the van with rollers and using Rustoleum Combi Colour. Should have some more time this week to get...
