    commer wanderer table catches

That is a lovely looking van with the earlier oak veneer interior. The cupboard in front of the wardrobe was the position for the optional fridge. Later vans had the fridge mounted further back in an elevated position. Does it have the very neat little full height larder cupboard at the very...

    Visiting the vans original owner!

Fantastic bit of history. Interested to note that the cut out above the rear wheels was done by the original owner (about the same time as he started using colour film).

    commer wanderer table catches

Our 1967 Wanderer had a wooden bulkhead behind the front bench seat which had the other half of the fixing you describe, but I know the later wanderers did not have a bulkhead. As you suggest, there may be some fitting to the rear of the seat. I know Gladys has the later arrangement, so perhaps...

    Washer bottles.

Back in the 60s we had a washer bag, not a bottle, which was fixed on the nearside in front of the door. A quick look on Google and it appears that they are still available.

I used to sell hundreds of those in the late 70s back in my Halfords days.

    What is this van?

I have lightened the pictures so you can see a little more detail. On reflection, those are not Spacevan lights as they are too tall and straight on the inside edge. It also has a red pinstripe.

    What is this van?

From the view through the van, it appears to have normal rear doors. If the roof is fabric (concertina), I would suggest that it could be a Holdsworth. However, it looks a bit like a CarCamper roof to me, but that would have solid sides with a window. The lights look like they could be from a...

Can your gasless welder be converted to gas? I have a Clarke welder which can be used for either. I tried gasless, but it wasn't very user friendly and created lots of spatter. Now I use it with Hobbyweld gas and it is like a different machine.

    Wanted. Dodge van

Hi and welcome, good luck with your search. I love a good showman's van or truck. When I was a teenager and the fair came to town I would go with my mates, but I would often be found looking at generator trucks. I would be very much on my own by then!
