Hi all, does anyone know if these old skool style exhaust gadgets go on a certain way round? One side is slightly more dimpled than the other but apart from that I can’t see much difference.

Cheers - Haha no - I was hoping to on this head but blew the head gasket. I think the old head had issues and had been welded in the past so whacking this one on. Meant to be going to France next Friday, might be a case of taking the car and a tent instead 
I think the old head is running at such high compression and the engine was put together in a shop so was never re-torqued - busy weekend coming up.
Off to Halfords for a new torque wrench, main issue is going to find the time to drive it 300 or so miles and then re-torque it up. It's a copper gasket so will need that doing I guess.

Hi Jim,
where did you get your exhaust gasket please? I need this one, plus the two gaskets from inlet/outlet and a couple of bolts!! Will take any advice please.

Yep speedies or eBay seem to have a fair few top end gasket sets on
