Hi All, Hope you are all well - it's been a while!
Frodo has pretty much been sat in a barn for the last five years, and as much as I want to get him on the road, with current circumstances, it's not going to happen. Therefore, we've decided it would be better to sell him, and let someone else, who can finish him and use him, get him up and running. We've been trying to work out what he's worth, but prices seem crazy at the moment, and we don't have a clue what would be a realistic price!
Can anyone give me an idea of what is a sensible price? Current though is to put him on eBay, but would be very happy to sell privately to someone on here.
A bit of current info:
Tax and MOT exempt
Engine rebuild by MM about 50 miles ago - there is still a tapping noise from the engine, but it doesn't sound too ominous
Cab is pretty bare, but there is fancy seats and a stereo fitting
Back is semi converted, we got a nice floor down, started insulating and boarding the side panels, there's a couple of cupboards, speakers on the rear doors and funky curtains!
There's the beginings of a leisure battery system..
Bodywork is "mostly" ok! New parts were fitted where they were available. The rear driver side corner needs replacing with a proper one, and the flutes are filled, but underneath he is solid.
The pop up roof has massive headroom, but could do with being rebuilt. The paintwork is poor (Rustoleum job!)
As he's been sat for five years, the battery is flat, and he could probably do with some fresh fuel. You wouldn't be able to drive him away.
So what do you think would be a sensible starting price for eBay, or a sensible price to sell privately?
