Hi,
I do think your van might be perfect but I have put this on hold for the time being as I am having my Hillman Hunter restored.
Later in the year when my finances have (hopefully) recovered I will start looking again.
Thank you
Hi there Paul,
We have a rather famous Ci built Commer/Dodge, known as 'Red Dwarf'.. It was re-engineered by a British Airways engineer, so has features like added air suspension (on the rear) a Thetford electric flushing loo (cassette type) a (almost unused and still working) 12v, 240v or gas Electrolux fridge, a 'Propex' gas turbine heater, 'Cascade' hot water heater, full oven and grill with 2 burners, a FIAMMA roll out rear awning, a heavy duty surf/spares rack on the roof (with ladder) an extending dish for TV reception, 240v sockets and lights (as well as 12v ones) even Boeing 747 emergency lights running on the outside... Hasn't moved in a few years now, would need some amount of DIY refitting and roving repairs, but the headlining is intact and the camper is all there. At the right price there is even £100's worth of spares, ones my wife and I hoovered up off ebay and collectors when first got 'Red Dwarf', so new brakes, clutch, gaskets, hoses, etc. even a spare amber roof vent hatch..!
It does have the over-cab bunk.. suits 2 kids (or not very tall adults!) This camper even had electric windows fitted..!
It is old enough to be TAX EXEMPT, so that helps.. But will need work done (was driven to where it parked up though)
Photos taken without any attempt to either clean or declutter... Sorry, busy day.! But can answer questions.
Currently located in sunny 'Norn iron'....
