Christmas with a difference

Complements of the season Everyone, hope you've all had a reasonable time over the festive period given the circumstances.
Sue and I decided if we couldn't spend time with families, that we would do something a bit different for Christmas day, so we agreed that dinner in Jigley by the sea would be nice. Instead of the usual fare, I cooked a big pot of beef stew and dumplings, which was easy to reheat on the limited cooking facilities in the van, loaded up everything we might need and off we went to Frinton on Sea, which those who attended my Essex meet might remember.
It's only 20 miles from us, so it was a nice little run out and the first time we have been out in the van this year other than to pick up building materials (well Jigley has to earn it's keep some how)IMG_2096 (2).JPGIMG_2095.JPGIMG_2093.JPGIMG_2090.JPG

Brilliant idea :)
First time in all my years that i have been on a beach on Christmas day. Hope Barb and yourself are keeping well and safe and had an enjoyable Christmas. We had Christmas dinner today as we are now in tier4 and are not to travel any more. ;)

We're well thank you. Lucy and Paul came round on Christmas day and we had a lovely time really pushing my gout tolerance to the limit ;)
Christmas on the beach - very Australian but without the shrimps:)

Heidi and I had a Christmas dinner for two, the first time ever.
