Lockdown stuff to do...

Derek, the old chap next door, shouted me over the garden fence. "I'm having a clear out" he said " do you want these" he said. "yes please I said" :)

And there's the possibility of a big Britool torque wrench too, if his son doesn't want it:cool:

Great, Wish I had a neighbour like that all mine want to do is borrow my tools

It took the end of the world for me to make the time but I finally finished my commer. I added a scoop to the front and that has solved my overheating issues over 90kph. I also changed the 55 Chevy diff for a cut down hilux diff. Running a 3.7:1 ratio, I can now change a wheel withought needing three jacks or dropping the rear spring shackles. The rapier engine shouldn't trouble it one bit.

I also spent some much needed time sorting out my OC3 dozer which runs a vanguard engine. I was having all sorts of dramas until putting my old Commer zenith carb on it. Runs perfectly now.

This week's project is to sort out a disc plough that I hauled out of a neighbours paddock. It is fully seized and the end nuts are welded on so that should be good fun.

what have you got under the hood to get over 90 kph??
I couldn’t get that on a downhill with a tailwind in neutral..

Sunbeam rapier with extractors and twin choke weber downdraft carb. Behind it is one of Tim's Lexus boxes.

I've lowered it so it isn't bad at 100kh. Over that and a bit of a cross wind and it starts getting a little too fun.
