Indicators not working

Hi
I’m new to the forum. I am currently working on a commer camper. The van was stripped for rebuild and left a mass of wiring headaches. I have most things working now. My problem is the indicators. I can get the hazard flashers working fine. The indicator switch had been disconnected. I have checked it and wired it I believe the correct way. The indicators however do not flash. My question is do these vans have two flasher relays ? If not can anybody let me know where the brown and purple wires off the switch should be attached.
This is giving me a real headache so any help will really be appreciated.

Just to add I currently can make the indicators come on with the switch but they will just stay on and not flash
 
Hi and welcome to the Madhouse :)
If you van is a Commer then the hazards will be an aftermarket add on and the original flasher unit (possibly faulty) is tucked up behind the dash, the usual tin can type. If it's a later Dodge Spacevan then I think they were standard and someone who owns one will hopefully come along and advise.
If you go to the site homepage there is a workshop manual down load with wiring diagrams, hopefully this will help.
