Marine vs exterior plywood

What are people using for their camper floor bases ?

I've had a quote of £88 for Marine ply vs £23 for Malaysian hardwood exterior grade (12mm, 8' x 4' sheet), so trying to understand the cost / value dichotomy.

I used 12mm exterior ply from B&Q on Harvey's floor many years ago and it's still perfect. You only need marine ply if it's immersed in water, hopefully that won't happen

The previous owner used 18mm OSB in mine, I would have thought MP was OTT but MHEG just fine

Cheers Dodgeram, MHEG it will - just had same recommendation from the FB group too but with the suggestion to seal with yacht varnish to be 100%

My latest eBay bargain, Karndean 'Van Gogh' in 'Distressed Oak' - it worked out cheaper than a roll of decent vinyl !
