Lower grille surrounds

I’ve just had a chat with a firm from the Midlands who can re manufacture the lower grille surrounds for us. Usual problem is they have to make new tooling first, cost £2/3000!

Are there any other makes of any vehicle that would use the same shape for any reason? No different than the £170 for 1/4light seals I suppose

Presumably the tooling cost is 2-3grand. Shared over 100 sets of surrounds, plus labour, materials, mark-up and delivery, you're not going to get much change out of £100 a set I would think. I wouldn't be too hopeful of 100 sales though. Just a thought.

Tooling would be for both halves. I would guess at sales of 50 sets, as not as many vans need them.

You could get a pretty good representation of the grille edge using this kind of thing.
