Summer's here! Keeping cool?

What is it? Is it an air vent? I fitted a couple of mushroom vents to my vans roof. I'm not sure they make a whole lot of difference in the heat of summer though.
 
It is a marine spec solar air vent so it just stays running all the time the sun shines. Just wondering if ott and one of those wind driven vents you see on vans would suffice. As i am in Devon the traffic is terrible in the summer so it will take the edge off hopefully
 
A mate of mine uses these in his teardrop trailer. They charge during the day and run at night. I'm in the market for something to use on my van. I only have front windows so anything I better than nothing for me
 
Yeah these have a battery which say will run for couple of hours after sunset. Must get quite toasty in there. Have you got insulation? He has that foil bubble wrap stuff and i was thinking of upgrading it to the sticky backed fire retardant foam foil stuff. Have seen some on fleabay
 
I live off grid in a 1930's school bus. I bought a couple of those for the loft bedroom as it gets hot.

You can reverse the fan so it extracts or blows in. Both are equally shit. But I think the extract option is slightly less shit. When blowing fresh air in you can put your hand in front of it and not actually feel anything.

I would steer clear if I were you.

You'd be better off with a USB powered fan and curtains.
 
Thanks for all advice. It will stop me from drilling unnecessary holes in him. Funnily i have just bought a little usb fan for a fiver.
 
On a slightly different note, i know panky will see this' i may take r2 up to my local summer fair on Saturday as they have a tiny classic bit. I contacted auto-sleeper to see if they had any archive bumph but they had a fire back along and lost everything. Anyway turns out i have the auto-sleeper 'flier'. As i am going to make a copy to stick in the window do you want me to scan it and send to admin to put with your downloadables on here??

Do I just scan it and email it to someone who can do the rest? Ie you Panky? I have the week off and need work scanner
 
I just ordered a pair of these. No idea how good they will be.
They clip on the window and suck in cold air or suck out hot air
