Holbay Engine

Its okay Mr Panky I will not be bidding, even though that engine is attractive I am unable to make a good enough case for it. There are those who say it belongs with that chassis. Happy Birthday!

I agree, the car's too good to split it. The way the listing is worded it's £1500 for the lot:cool: Plenty of time but no room and limited funds:(
Thanks for the birthday wishes by the way. Now if some one was to be thinking of a late and very thoughtful birthday pressie ;)

So one could make room then;)

Ended. How come there was no bidding at thirteen hundred? Ooooo... tempting.

Sorry didn't mean to sound abrupt:oops: I usually spot Rapiers as they are on my bucket list but I missed this one.
That's got to be the ugliest Ginetta I've ever seen, fancy destroying a good Hunter to make that:eek: (and I like kit cars)

The Holbay is a bit of a beast compared with the standard ally head engine but yes you could tune one to match - but at a cost, bolt on tuning parts are not readily available so you would need to be creative. I for one would never consider breaking a saveable car to pinch the engine and am quite happy with my 'warm' Rapier engine:)

You have a H120 or a GLS Hunter:cool:?
The engine in mine is standard apart from a 1 3/4" SU on a special manifold, gas flowed exhausted manifold into a 1 3/4" straight through exhaust, Davies Craige water pump and lekky fan to save a few horses. It goes well, I'd love to see what it would be like in a car:D

Shamone...a Craig David water pump Mr P

Like your collection:cool:
I drove an auto box Rapier fast back with the intention of buying it and yes it was a nice drive - but sadly it was not to be:(
Can we see some pics of your cars please:)

think I fancy a Rapier H120 under valued imho. Given up on an ra28...none about and all over £10k now...should never have sold mine :(
