After a tense wait and fingernails down to the quick I can announce that another Autosleeper is now back on the road after twenty odd years!!, My van has passed its test after replacing 1 stuck brake cylinder and fitting a master cylinder repair kit (along with a rear chassis member supplied by Woolfy) Alas in my exitement to fill her up with petrol I left my petrol cap on the pump top :I(which has disappeared), Has anybody got one to sell or better still does anyone know where I can get a locking cap from or know what other models will fit?, there are quite a few on ebay at present but it's wondering which one would be suitable.. The other panels I got from Woolfy fitted spot on, including the rear corner, thanks Woolf, I will post pictures of these later
Congratulations Igman -really great news[8D] think Martin will have a cap for you. Yours might even turn up on ebay if it got pinched[V]
A lot of the crew including Martin & Woolfy are braving the elements this weekend down in the New Forest so am sure they will all be delighted for you when they get back - wonderful stuff
Is the tank neck flush with the corner pannel or does it stick out like a tube and cap fits on that? If its flush there the same as a hillman avenger there are usually pleanty of these on ebay

Ah know that feeling, did exactly the same thing today on the way back from the meet! Luckily I had Admin, Minky and Rach behind me, who noticed, and went back to pick it up for me.
Thanks for your comments - the filler is the sticky out tube variety, I think they may have had chains connected to them originally, might be a good idea for the future!. very nice did they fit ok or was there any problems at all. also do you have a full on side view of the panels.the one with the fluted side panel also shows the new lower hanging panel aswell doesnt it. did the rear corner fit ok aswell.[?]

Anyway I'm just chuffed they're on. The 30 mile drive back to Redcar went without a hitch considering it was the first time I'd driven it, apart from backfiring when I applied the brakes, any ideas? It drove and stopped well considering the time it's been off the road, the wind was blowing a gale which made for an interesting drive across the moors, it's stripped to a bare shell so it was a bit hairy at times. I see now what you mean about notchy gearchanges as well, It's gonna be interesting owning a Commer[8D][}]
They fitted great Woolfy the only problem was my welder man decided thet the metal on the first half of the side panel was so good that he cut your panel in half and tried to match it to the original,[:0][)] it looks slightly odd because as you say the flutes are slightly deeper, I'm taking it to someone else now to get the other half of your's fitted on, I can now I'm not paying trailer fees to transport it everywhere[^]
