Can this not be resolved mate? Forgive me for saying, but Martin is not exactly the sort of person you would find inviting anybody into the ring? I remember the occasion in question, and i'm sure he never meant things how they were taken! Just saying.....

Why exactly have you got a problem with Martin?
It was pointed out once that you were a car dealer from Luton, which is apparently fact and since then you have been having digs at Martin nearly every time he posts.
Martin got his reply in first to Danny's advert and straight away you were there complaining about it. You were complaining about Martin snapping up all the vans and not letting others with less money have the chance to get hold of them, yet you seem to be buying quite a few of the resto projects with the intention of selling them on [xx(]
The Wanderer Commer comes to mind. (I was after the van as I am short of money and I didn't even get a chance of a second offer).
I have read quite a bit of the replys from yourself and Martin and to be honest, you are the one having all the digs and Martin seems pretty much unaware of any problem.
Martin provides a great service to everyone and I am sure there would be a lot more Commers off the road than on it if were not for him.

I can understand that. This forum is a great place to talk (coming from experience of other forums, mostly darkside forums) and I just feel its a shame that snide comments and digs have to be made every now and then.

I have no problem with Martin other than his digs at me and yes I have reciprocated, I am well aware of the sterling work Martin does in keeping the Commer marque alive and take my hat off to him for it, I have no wish to argue or fall out with anyone but if you bite at me I will bite back, why should`nt I? With regards the Wanderer it was for sale for months before I bought it, as was Bluebell, so why did you not make another offer on it, you had plenty of time, if you still want it its sitting in my yard and your welcome to buy it before it goes to the bodyshop for restoration.

The only problem I had was that it seemed like you were specifically going out of your way to have a dig in the majority of threads that Martin replied to.
I just hope that Martin and yourself manage to resolve any problem that the both of you have.
As far as the Wanderer goes, yes, it was up for sale for quite a while, but that was before I had decided that I would like to get my hands on it to turn into a work vehicle. I made what I felt was a fair offer, based on the condition and what I paid for my van. Obviously you made a better offer and therefore I cannot afford to buy the van as I don't have much cash available beyond what I offered besides the van being snapped up before I could improve my offer slightly and I am sure you would not part with it for less than you paid.

i honestly dont understand why other people get involved in things like this as it only adds to the problem. as far as im concerned what difference does it make about whos who and who does what, both martin and alan are both in the same field anyway. one buys vans slightly cheaper and then fixes them up and makes a bit of proffit in the process for all the hard work done and cash layed out. the other buys parts from different sources at a price but also has to buy them in bulk i dare say, and then he sells them on at a proffit to make it all worth while. fair play to the pair of them is what i say. over the last two years of being a member on here ive seen numerous parts being offered as well as vans for sale and not many people take up the offers, so if alan and mart wasnt around to buy them up they would just get over looked anyway and forgotten about. get the bloody things why you can is what i say as you never know when someone might need them.

I think this has now been put to bed, I am sure misunderstandings on both parts have been made, not helped by other people commenting.
Woolfy is right, that some of us have to go out and do things, only for the good of everyone in the long run. Even if that upsets other in the short term.
If anyone has a problem with me or anyone else, PLEASE say it to our faces and not bicker on the forum.
