Well yet again I’m building camper furniture lol. I was torn between paint, varnish or oil. I do like a timber finish so I thought I’d oil it instead of varnish as it would be quicker. I chose tung oil. Unfortunately it takes 24 hours between coats. It also stinks and it makes the surface slightly fluffy. You can sand it back again but comes back with the next coat. I got some furniture oil which is tung oil and resin blend so shouldn’t react with the tung oil and will seal the ply. Experimented on the table top and seems to improve the feel. In hindsight I could have put god knows how many coats of water based varnish on and quicker.

Yes. The box end fits in the boot and then the diving board goes over the back seats. The gazebo has to go on the side because it’s too long on the back. The fun bus is nearly a metre longer than the battlebus which surprised me. The great thing about old vehicles is the internal dimensions are nearly the same as the external ones lol. Now I’ve got bloody crumple zones, airbags and plastic trims everywhere. Not to mention someone put the engine sticking out the front rather than under the seats  Soo much wasted space.

If you’re wondering where the sunshine has gone it’s because I’m camping again. Oh what have I done. It’s like going from a safari tent into a tent lol. It’s quite cramped, I can’t remember where I’ve put anything, I can’t open the storage lids when the boots closed because of the lump hiding the wiper motor, suction cups for the curtains are rubbish and the gazebo tunnel now ponds. I can’t open the passenger door to get to the boot release because the gazebo is in the way as need to put battery on charge so I can use interior light and usb plug. But it has stopped raining lol. It took nearly 3 hours to set up. Maybe getting rid of the battlebus wasn’t such a good idea lol.
