as you may of read in 'Smurf' i have a K&N fitted to the original airbox and the problem is that the engine cover just sits on it, enough to push it squiffy..
My question is this...
between the manifold and carb is a spacer about 10mm thickness, does it need to be there?? it might just make the difference as to whetehr the engine cover sits on it or not..
thanks Martin, and good to hear from you...but, does the trunking not attach to the existing air box? so the engine cover would still sit on it anyway?
to clarify, me saying 'airbox'. I mean the flat kidney shaped affair that fits on the carb air intake
Just a thought Colin - does the original bend that fitted on the Zenith also fit the Webber. If it does then put it on and have the K&N pointing downwards.
no mate because if there was i could cut a hole in it...just fresh shiny paint even though I have a middle seat my engine cover is standard with the bulge in it...I've seen engine covers with the bulge removed..
