After our pre-Glastonbury mechanical breakdown when our dizzy siezed and sheared its drive from the oil pump, the good news is that its now all been repaired and luckily there was no camshaft damage incurred either [8D]
Through my Triumph Stag contacts, we found a 'classic friendly' village garage and even better, its owner used to work at a Rootes dealership in the 1960s and 1970s before he setup his own business.
Although its been a good while since he's had to work on a 1725cc lump he said it brought back some good memories, including many his many summer touring family holidays in a hired Commer camper [8D]

Very pleased get get our van back at the weekend and then had a very successful local weekend away. So we're all set for the upcoming Cambridge meet but probably just for the Saturday only due to other committments.
One of which is our building project which has required us to move out of our house for a few months. One sad consequence of which has resulted in our excellent spare hi-tor roof getting smashed [:0]. Despite agreeing a 'out of bounds' area with our building project manager and clearly marking this off, it seems some one the contractors disregarded this and put a large rumble pile there and not surprisingly a lump of concrete rolled off onto our spare roof

What's done is done and I must give full marks to our building project manager though. He was actually more furious about this carelessness than myself (and that's saying something !). He apologised profusely and instantly offered to sort it for free. Within a couple of hours he'd lined up a free repair at a local boatbuilders who specialise in fibreglass. I'm sure it'll get absorbed into the overall costs but we've agreed a fixed price contract
