I just can't fathom it! this isn't even running it will go for more than MOST of us paid for our vehicles.. and there isn't an engine either.

What really opened my eyes at the festival this weekend was the fact that there were two split screens selling cigarettes and one selling cereal bars so if they're all being snapped up and restored by companies then they are pushing up their prices even more! Its just sucha shame that they aren't even being camped in by individuals [:(!]
 
I do like the design of splitties and a while ago had convinced myself that I wanted one. But the more I look at them the less desirable they seem to me (couldn't afford one anyway), I guess they have developed that 'look what I'm driving, it's worth a fortune' persona, a bit like those pointless performance 4x4s from Porsche and Audi. It's a shame because there are loads of die-hard enthusiasts who have been totally priced out of the market by the speculators.
 
Think we need to keep quiet about how good commers are in comparison - always found them to be better mechanically and a better layout for actually camping in - but I'm not telling anyone else that;)
 
Dave who we bought yori off said that his mechanic gave him a tow rope to go to festivals with... to aid veedubs :D
